The Penang English Language Learning and Teaching Association (PELLTA) is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation based in Penang, Malaysia. It came into being on 11 April 1990 when it was registered with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia. The main aim of PELLTA is to provide a platform for ELT practitioners and academics to share expertise, knowledge and experience and form communities of practice. Regular workshops and seminars are held to serve the teaching community in and around Malaysia. Since 2003, PELLTA has been hosting international ELT conferences every two years. iELT-Con 2023 is PELLTA's 11th international conference.
